Fluid State is located at the corner of Main and Fir in downtown Ventura. 692 E Main St. The parking lot entrance is on Fir St. I have attached a photo showing where band load in is against the wall with the big mural on it. Please DO NOT park past the fence in the left corner (Behind the building with the white roof in the attached photo). That is a separate business with its own parking lot, they close early and WILL lock your car in there if you park there!!!
We will provide each musician with one meal ticket good for a slice of bomb Fluid State Pizza, and we will have beer and water backstage. Please bring your own water bottle to refill as we will not be providing single-use plastic bottles.
Bands will need to bring their own instruments, amps, stools or chairs, drum kits and drum rugs. We will have a PA, mics, and a very talented sound engineer, Mathew McDuffy, who excels at working with a diverse assortment of bands and situations. If you need a merch table, let me know please. Also, bring your tip jars!!
I am also attaching the schedule for the day. We only have thirty-minute change overs to get the previous band's gear off stage and the next band on and sound-checked, so we will need to be efficient in our change overs. Please arrive at least an hour before your set, or however long you think you need to deal with parking, unloading, staging and prepping gear backstage. The more we can do before the band ahead of you finishes the better... assemble drum kits, etc. Then we can just swap gear and sound-check you before your scheduled downbeat.
